Thanks very much / diolch yn fawr for visiting.

Cae'r Bryniau is a wonderful Welsh farm cottage, probably dating to the early 1800s, set in five acres just to the east of the west coast of Anglesey, some 20 minutes north of Holyhead.

Cae'r Bryniau is a working smallholding that has been used as a small farm (tyddyn in Welsh) for many years. It comprises just over five acres and is surrounded by farmed land, often occupied by sheep. We keep Soay sheep and sometimes have Oxford Sandy and Black pigs, as well as hens. There are also resident farm cats as well as our two Labradors, Tom and Barbara. Yes, they were named after the TV series characters as we got such a ribbing about living the 'Good Life' when we moved here!  Guests are free to wander around and explore the smallholding. As we do run a working smallholding there may well be wheelbarrows, watering cans and all sorts about the place – we try to be as tidy as possible but this is real life!

We rear pigs from weaners to bacon size, so we do not have pigs all year round, but they are with us most of the summer. When we do have pigs they are in Top Field and not in the Pig Field.

We have a large polytunnel and vegetable garden in the valley below the house and visitors are more then welcome to have a look round.

We are due to get our first hive of bees soon - watch this space.
